On July 1, 2005, Zoléra received a call in the middle of the night—her son Sofiane had been in a scooter accident. The doctors informed her that he had collided with an ambulance and did not survive. Sofiane’s blood type, „A-,“ indicated that he was intoxicated. The young delinquent caused the accident, and the firefighters were not at fault. However, a doubt remains: Sofiane’s blood type was actually „A+.“
I have been an actor, writer, and director for over 10 years.
I have played several leading roles as an actor: Florent, the lead male in Xiaoxing Cheng’s „French Touch,“ for which I won the Best Actor award at the „Paris Court Devant 2015“ festival and at the „Chelsea Film Festival 2015“ in New York; and Sébastien in „Liebmann“ by Jules Hermann, which was selected for the „Berlinale 2016“ and was a finalist in the best film category at the „Teddy Awards 2016,“ and nominated at the „European Film Awards 2016.“
In 2017, I won the „Nouveaux Cinémas“ screenplay contest, which enabled me to direct my first short film „CLAC!“ We won about sixty awards worldwide. This success led me to win the „HLM sur Court“ contest in 2019, which allowed me to make „Féeroce“ with production and funding support; we have received around forty awards so far; thanks to this film, I was among the Talents at the „Fête du court métrage 2021.“
Most recently, I directed my first drama „The Young Sofiane“; I have also just signed to direct my first two feature films and my first series with „Les films du Castel,“ again as a director.
