In the middle of a beach, the film follows an introspective and sensorial journey, from the farthest point to the deepest place, from the external world to the emotional system.
Upon contact with the sea water, the skin and body transform into a gateway to an inner fissure, revealing a complex emotional portrait manifested as fragments of sharp, broken glass, submerged in the sea.
As the shards continue their descent, images blur into progressive patterns that expand and contract culminating in a visceral and cathartic transformation.

My name is Victoria Ioudina (Barcelona, 1999), and I am a film director and producer based in Barcelona, Catalonia.
I hold a degree in Cinema from ESCAC University, with a specialization in Film Production, and I’m continually expanding my practice through disciplines such as film laboratory work, experimental photography, botany, craftsmanship, and textile manipulation.
My artistic practice aims to establish a dialogue between the moving image and matter while exploring humanistic and critical themes.
I made my debut with the video installation Hitomi (2022), which fused immersive scenography with a video piece. It was exhibited at the LAB 36 art gallery as part of the LOOP Barcelona festival and the Barcelona Pensa philosophy festival.
My latest work, Waters That Sculpt Fire (2024), is an experimental short film that allowed me to explore cinema from an artisanal and intimate perspective. In this piece, I examine how nature not only surrounds us as a setting but also shapes and reshapes us—politically, spiritually, and physiologically.
