The Penguin Runner

July 4, 2015

Synopsis

What inspires a South African scuba dive instructor to run 2700km, unsupported through the African Desert? 36 year old Dave Chamberlain set off from Walvis Bay, Namibia in October 2012 on what was a 4 month run finishing in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Battling extreme temperatures, a lack of water and isolation, the film looks at what motivates someone to undertake such an adventure. Turns out it wasn’t his first, nor will it be his last.
