Orlanda wants to give her niece a pair of ballet slippers for her dance recital. But finding them in the right colour is no easy task.
Alberto Marchiori was born in a small town in northern Italy, then moved to Rome in 2001 to study cinematography and camera operating at Cinecittà. After 15 years of experience in the camera de-partment with directors such as Marco Bellocchio, Matteo Garrone, Giorgio Diritti, Daniele Vicari, Pupi Avati, Emma Dante, he began working as a cinematographer in Italy, Brazil and England. In 2016 he was the director of photography for the short film “The Silence” by Ali Asgari and Far-noosh Samadi (Members of the Oscar Academy), selected in the official competition at Cannes Film Festival. In 2018 he was the cinematographer for the short film “Delay” by Ali Asgari, selected among others at the Los Angeles Film Festival and in competition at the Manaki Brothers Film Festival, an event dedicated to cinematographers. In 2019 he directed his first short-film, “The Leak” and in 2023 he directed the short-film “Skintone”.
