As a young child our protagonist is left by his mother and has to live with his violent father. He fights his way through adolescence and falls in love with the woman of his dreams and just as everything seems to be finally working out for him, a sudden event changes the course of his life forever. A story about how everything we love, everything we learn, everything we build, everything we fear, will one day be gone.
Joschka was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany in 1989. After finishing school, he decided not to take his place at the Berlin university, but instead follow his true passion for creating moving images and sounds. After writing and directing his first short film „Alles wegen des Hundes“ (2008), he started working at a film production company in Hamburg. He kept writing short film scripts and soon directed his second short film „Everything’s so silent“ (2010). One year later he finished his next short film „Back to Solitude“ (2011), which launched his career as a commercial director. He worked for different national and international clients and kept working on short film scripts and music videos. In 2014, preproduction started for his latest short film project „BACKSTORY“ (2016), which was shot over a period of 17 shooting days in 1,5 years. Joschka is currently working on his first feature-length script and lives in Berlin and Hamburg.
