Galina D. Georgieva is a writer and film director. Her first script Rehearsals won the First Prize at NISI MASA International Competition, 2007. She was a participant in the Sarajevo Talent Campus, Project Lab, Script Station, 2015, and co-production forum in Clermont-Fernand, 2020. She wrote and directed several student short films end a feature-length documentary, selected at festivals in Europe and the USA. Galina also wrote the play Asteroid 35 111, based on the life of the Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva. The play is currently being staged in theater Vazrajdane. The play was also broadcast on the Bulgarian National Radio. Galina is a lecturer in the MA program at the University of Sofia.
