Kamen (75) prefers to live in his memories after the sudden loss of his beloved wife. The search for a simple rope leads him to meet colourful characters who suspect that he is preparing his suicide. The old man’s plan, however, is entirely different – to share his remaining love with the world.
Simona Evstatieva (1996) was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She graduated from the BA Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University College Utrecht, the Netherlands, with a degree in Media Studies and Art History, which she later developed in her master’s program Media, Art and Performance at Utrecht University. In 2024 Simona completed her second Master’s degree in Film Directing at NATFA Krastyo Sarafov, during which she directed her student graduation film “Two of Us” starring Pavel Poppandov and Meglena Karalambova. She works as a freelance director and photographer, as well as a young scientist in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Currently, she is in the pre-production stage of her first non-student short film “Creatures of the Night” which won the Pitching Prize at the 2024 edition of In the Palace.
