Anna, a lonely computer coder, has been nurturing an illegal romance with an AI in a computer simulation for the past six months. When her company uncovers the affair, she’s forced into a desperate battle to save her precious relationship.
Richard Fenwick (Newcastle, UNITED KINGDOM, 1973) is an award-winning writer/director with a slate of feature scripts, including sci-fis LIFELIKE, SLOW LIGHT; and thriller SILENCE. His current film, SOULMATE, is a sci-fi short for BFI Network, starring Mandeep Dhillon and Joe Dempsie. His other films include BBC comedy ALBERT’S SPEECH, Jaime Winstone starrer, LOVE LETTER, and festival favourites ARTIFICIAL WORLDS and SAFETY PROCEDURES. His work has screened at over 100 festivals worldwide (Edinburgh, Berlin, Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand) and won numerous awards (Hamburg, Cortolovre, IFTC). He was chosen as a Screen International ‘Star of Tomorrow’, and participated in Cross Channel Film Lab, Think, Shoot, Distribute and NET.WORK@LFF.
