Shot in West Africa with a local cast and crew, OUT OF THE VILLAGE explores the social and cultural impact of the Ebola epidemic from the perspective of an orphaned brother and his sister. It stars Abraham Attah (Beasts of No Nation) and is Executive Produced by Bryan Singer (House, M.D / X-Men).
Jonathan Stein (1984, USA) studied cinema and anthropology at the University of Southern California. After college, he worked as Bryan Singer’s assistant before being promoted to Creative Executive at his company, Bad Hat Harry Productions. He has worked on dozens of film and television projects throughout his career though this marks his debut as a director.
