Writer and Director
James is a director and producer with ten years experience making documentaries, commercials and music videos. In 2012 he made his debut feature documentary Mission To Lars, an intimate portrayal of two siblings’ road trip across America in an effort to reconnect as a family and fulfil the lifelong dream of their autistic brother Tom – to meet Lars Ulrich of Metallica. Mission To Lars was released theatrically through Picturehouse cinemas in the UK to great critical acclaim, went top 10 on the UK iTunes chart and picked up global distribution. Film4 purchased the broadcast rights for the UK, NETFLIX for video on demand and the film is currently a popular fixture in the broadcast cycle.
Jon Stanford / Bio
Writer and Director
Jon is a writer, director and producer based in London. His debut feature film Long Forgotten Fields was nominated for Best UK Feature at the Raindance Film Festival and has gone on to secure global distribution. His short films have been screened at festivals around the world including Encounters Bristol International Film Festival, Cambridge Film Festival, The London International Documentary Festival, Ostrava Kamera Oko, 26th Brest European Short Film Festival and shortlisted for the Iris Prize.
