Mattia feels like a canary unable to fly. But maybe it’s just a matter of courage.
Originally from Apulia, director and screenwriter Alessandro Porzio graduated in photography and studied literature and philosophy at the University of Bari. Since 2008 he has directed numerous music videos, commercials and short films of success. “Rumore Bianco”, nominated for Nastri d’Argento 2013, has won major awards including the award for Best Film at the Mostra del Cinema Italiano in Barcelona and the Jury Award at Bif&st Bari Int. Film Festival and the Festival del Cinema Europeo. In 2013 he directed “Niente”, with Filippo Gili and Vanessa Scalera, winner of Best Film at the European Shorts Amarante in Portugal and a finalist at Arcipelago Film Festival in 2014. In 2015 he directed the international project “Mido”: it is a video installation in four dimensions commissioned by Expo 2015.
