In a slightly surreal scene, two figures move through time, one forward and the other backward. Nevertheless, they communicate with each other and swap things. Ash turns to paper, water flows upwards. This all happens in a manner where the viewer can not always be sure in which direction the time is running.
Maria Reinhardt-Szyba, born in 1982 in Preetz/ Germany, is a physicist, filmmaker, musician and mother of two sons. She studied physics until 2008 in Kiel and obtained her PhD in 2015 in Hamburg. As the singer of the band KNOTT she released two albums in 2008 and in 2010. Since she was seventeen, she has been making short films and participates in film projects in different positions frequently. So far she has directed more than fifteen short films and won several awards.
