Gabriele is a 17-year-old boy, member of a babygang. Following a stunt, the boy is denounced and forced into community service. Sent as a caretaker to a battered boxing gym, he befriends Gino, the factotum, who introduces him to the true values of boxing.
With the help of his mentor and Laura, Gabriele grows and becomes aware of his mistakes. He would like to enter the ring too, but he is not ready. Determined to change his path, he abandons the babygang and apologises to the people he had bullied. Now only one piece is missing to determine his definitive change.
Italian actor, director and screenwriter, he has starred in numerous successful dramas such as Un Medico in Famiglia, Marcinelle, and the Rai1 series Un Matrimonio by Pupi Avati, and films for the cinema such as Naja, Boris and Casanova by Oscar winner Lasse Hallström. As a director he trained at the IED, thanks to a scholarship in video design, and later signed as author Sweet India the first multi-ethnic sit-com for Rai2. With his debut short, The Flying Man, he won numerous awards including the audience award at the Beijing Film Academy’s ISFVF. Since 2016 he has signed short films in the sci-fi genre, including La Macchina Umana (XII Festa del Cinema di Roma, Trieste Science+Fiction Festival), and Néo Kósmo from 2020 presented at the Alice nella Città Rome Film Festival and winner of the Audience Award at the Planos Film Festival 2021. He recently finished the docu-film co-produced with Rai Documentari “Parlami d’amore”, about the famous singer Achille Togliani, and selected at the 40th Turin Film Festival. Subsequently, the film won the SNCCI’s Best International Documentary Award at the Social World Film Festival.
In 2023, he realised the social short Bob and Weave featuring Bianca Guaccero and Alessandro Benvenuti in a story of redemption centred on the world of boxing.
