Emanuele Carfora (Naples) graduated from the DAMS (Disciplina delle arti, musica e
spettacolo) of the Faculty of Letters of the Alma Mater University of Bologna (Italy), starts in 2016
the degree in film direction at the ECIB (Barcelona Film School), ending in 2019.
In 2017, with his 90 seconds short film “Goodby Maria”, he was selected as part of the Young Jury
of the 55th Gijón International Film Festival.
In 2021 he premieres his first short film “The Game”, produced by ECIB film school, at the 18
Barcelona Film and Human Rights Festival awarded as Best Catalan Short Film. Other selections
include 34 Girona Film Festival, 76 Salerno Film Festival, 8 The Quarantine Film Festival, 10
Chania Film Festival, 20 Arouca Film Festival, 8 Funcinema Fest (International Comedy Film
Festival) and the 11th Decortoán Joven Short Film Festival.
His second short film “Barefoot” begins its distribution in June 2023.
