Brigitte, in her fifties, is a French sport teacher at a high school. Frustrated by the lack of boys in the dance elective she runs, she tries to convince one of her students, Krimo, whose potential she’s noticed, to join. But Krimo isn’t easily persuaded, and when Brigitte, tired of hearing his constant “motherfucker”, “son of a bitch”, suggests during class that he should “go bugger his dad” instead for a change, things spiral out of control…
After completing a Master’s degree in Film and Audiovisual Studies at Paris 3 University, Charlotte Cayeux wrote and directed eight short films screened at numerous festivals, including “Ceux qui peuvent mourir” and “Nos Horizons”. Her first novel, L’autre Ahmed ou L’attente, was published in 2021.
After studying film at CLCF, Hassan Benali directed several short films, including “Proz” and “T’es con ou quoi ?”. He co-wrote and co-directed “Le Prince au bois dormant” with Nicolas Bianco-Levrin, which was selected in 2021 for the Clermont-Ferrand Festival and over 70 international festivals.
“Par souci pédagogique” (For Educational Purposes) marks their first co-direction together.
